Started the career in Exhibition Stall designing organization in 2002 and have handled major corporate clients like Saint-Gobain, State Bank of India on stall execution & coordination at various venues like Chennai Trade Centre, Codissia Trade Fare Complex in Coimbatore and at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.

Further, as Programme In-Charge at Madras Management Association (MMA) in 2003, Coordinated various Workshops & Major Conventions like AIMA Convention, MMA Convention and Women Managers & Student’s Conventions. Worked as the Editorial Member for the MMA Business Mandate.

In 2010, joined the Department of Ocean Observation Systems (OOS), National Institute of Ocean Technology. As Project Manager, was involved in project support activities like handling major tenders, store management, reports, conduct of workshops, and other inhouse managerial support. Also, appointed for NIOT ISO Cell for ensuring quality

In 2017, handled India International Science Festival (IISF 2017) as Secretariate In-Charge and was appreciated by Secretary, Ministry of Earth and Sciences. Worked as Coordinator for Indian Foundry Congress (IFC 2020) & again worked for 72nd IFC 2024 which witnessed a remarkable turnout, with over 1500 delegates and significant participation from exhibitors and visitors alike. Also, been one of the Panelist for the 72nd IFC 2024 Plenary Session on “Roadmap for Scaling - Skill & Talent Development” held a BIEC, Bangalore.

The knowledge and experience on Project Management & MSMEs (from handling different clients) have always inspired to take up research work on Innovation & MSMEs. After Completion of PhD on the topic “Employees Perspective Towards Innovation in Alignment with Organizational Strategy in Automotive SMEs”, got associated with See Change Consulting (a leading brand in MSME Consulting) as MSME & Startup Business Coordinator. Have Published eight research papers and Won Best Paper Award for the research paper “Role of educational institutions in empowerment of visually challenged graduate women students – a study in Chennai region “, at the International Conference on Advancements in Technology, Business and Management ICATBM 2019 @ Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, School of Management Studies, Chennai.

Have passion towards research and to work for the betterment of MSME Sector. Started the partnership firm JNANA VIKAS JAGRATI (MSME Consultancy & Training Firm) in 2023 to empower MSMEs through tailored mentoring, consulting, and capacity-building programs.

Core expertise lies in service quality evaluation, supply chain efficiency, and organizational development—areas where I have successfully bridged academic insights with industry practices to deliver measurable impact.

As a researcher and author, I have produced influential publications that address critical challenges in logistics and service quality, reinforcing my reputation as a thought leader in the sector. With a strong foundation in Mathematics and Research, I combine analytical precision with strategic vision, offering a unique advantage in driving organizational growth, policy advocacy, and sustainable development.

Established my academic foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with IT (1999) from the University of Madras, equipping me with analytical precision and problemsolving skills. Building on this base, pursued an MBA in Shipping & Logistics Management (2015) at Annamalai University, gaining specialized expertise in global logistics, maritime operations, and supply chain strategy. To further strengthen my research capabilities, I completed an M.Phil. in Management (2016) at Vels University, Chennai, where I refined my analytical and academic rigor. Culminating this progression, I earned a Ph.D. in Management (2020) from VISTAS, Chennai, with doctoral research focused on service quality in freight forwarding from a shipper’s perspective—contributing original insights to both academic scholarship and industry practice.

Professional Experience

My professional journey began in Malaysia, where I served as Head of Department for Mathematics & IT at Global Indian International School (2007). It was here that I discovered my passion for leadership and knowledge-sharing, shaping curriculum, mentoring faculty, and inspiring students to embrace analytical thinking and technology. This early experience laid the foundation for my ability to blend education, management, and innovation.

Returning to India, I transitioned into the shipping and logistics sector, taking on the role of Logistics & Operations Head at Phorkys Shipping Pvt Ltd. (2010–2014). In this capacity, I managed complex cargo operations, coordinated with international partners, and ensured seamless freight forwarding. It was a period of intense learning, where I honed my skills in operational efficiency.

Building on this expertise, I joined Coastbulkers Pvt Ltd. (2018–2020) as a Management Executive, where I expanded my scope to include compliance, client servicing, and strategic operations. My work here deepened my understanding of the intricacies of shipping and logistics, while reinforcing my ability to balance day-to-day execution with long-term organizational goals.

Parallel to my industry roles, I nurtured my academic interests. In 2018, I served as a Part-time Professor at the Indian Institute of Logistics, Chennai, teaching MBA students in Shipping & Logistics. This role allowed me to bridge theory with practice, mentoring future professionals while contributing to curriculum development.

My leadership journey advanced further when I became Director at Shenship Bulk, Chennai (2021–2024), where I provided strategic oversight in bulk shipping operations. Soon after, I was entrusted with the role of General Manager at Empire Smart Freight LLC, Dubai (2022–2025), which strengthened my ability to lead across geographies and cultures

Most recently, holding a new position as one of the founders of Jnana Vikas Jagrati (2023– Present), a consultancy and training firm dedicated to empowering MSMEs and youth. Through this initiative, the company’s goal is to empower MSMEs, conduct training programs, spread knowledge and awareness that inspires sustainable growth and mindset transformation. This entrepreneurial chapter reflects my commitment to social impact and sectoral transformation, blending my industry expertise with my passion for empowerment.
